Most of you probably don't know that I've started interior decorating. Here is my most recent work for a client. I was lucky to have an incredible client that gave me free reign to do what I wanted. She inspired me by sharing her style preference, and the rest was up to me. Fun!
The job actually started as a commissioned furniture job. She wanted me to make a headboard and paint her bedroom suite. But upon our initial meeting she decided to hire me to decorate the entire room.
I started by painting her two wooden nightstands and headboard with chalk paint. I layered colors, distressed, added metallic wax, sanded and distressed again.... applied dark wax, and sealed it. Phew! It was a lot of work but it look beautiful in the end.
I also refurbished a chair for the room. I chalk painted the fabric seat, silver leafed the top of the chair, and did an ombré effect to the legs, again, using chalk paint.
Once the furniture was all done, I put the room together with a combination of warm greys, silvers, metals, and of course teal as an accent color.
This was a really fun project and my client was absolutely thrilled!
