We're pleased to introduce the Gelli Plate workshop... instructed by Win Dinn of Creston, BC. This is an excellent workshop that teaches you how to create beautiful backgrounds in your art journals.... and it is also useful for collage, fabric swatches, card making, and much, much, more.
What is a Gelli plate? It's a gelli-like surface used for print making. If you've even heard of silk-screening... it's similar to this but so much easier and no need to deal with nasty chemicals, and difficult clean-up. The gelli plate is a new-aged print-making technique suitable for beginners to experts. It's fast, easy, fool proof and sooooo fun!
In this weekend playshop, we'll use the gelli plate with paper and mat board, but all techniques are transferrable to other mediums as listed above. Using fingers, paint brushes, brayers, texturing tools and our infinite imagination, we'll layer colour after colour to achieve some outstanding results. Best of all, you'll take your own Gelli plate home so you can keep it up. This is an adult class but teens are welcome. Sign up today, space is limited...
