Join Brandy Hunt while she shows you over 15 techniques of how to use a stencil. Whether you are an art journaler, scrapbooker, cardmaker, artist, or hobbiest, you'll love this workshop! Your head will be spinning with ideas and you'll leave the class feeling inspired to stencil at home! Creative Fix is now selling a line of art supplies so you can leave the class with your own supplies if you feel so inclined.
Some of the techniques and supplies we will be exploring during the class: line art, watercolor, inka-gold, gel medium, moulding paste, crackle embossing paste, pan pastels, acrylics, paint markers, ink sprays, ferro, distress inks, stamps, embossing medium, glitter and more! We'll also teach you how to care for your stencils to keep them looking like brand new so that they'll last a lifetime.

Photography Course 101 - Instructed by Jeff Banman

Course Description:

Back by popular demand... the course is excellent if you are an aspiring photographer, new to DSLR cameras, or a beginner all together. This two day workshop is designed for you. The workshop covers many topics which include:

- DSLR care

- Getting acquainted with the essential controls and menus of your DSLR

- Understanding the camera's automatic settings, when and why to use them

- How to set up your camera for shooting

- Understanding how to take full control of exposure

- The creative effect of shutter speed and aperture

- Controlling Depth of Field

- How to affectively control ISO to reduce noise and exposure

- Overview of Semi-automatic modes; Program mode, Shutter and Aperture Priority Modes

- How focus works - Advanced focusing techniques

If you are a ‘hands on learner’ and if you found that any of these topics could add to your photography skills, than you will find this workshop very rewarding!

- DSLR camera with a lens

About the Instructor

Jeff Banman has been professionally taking photos in the Kootenays for the past five years. If it is the beautiful landscapes of the Creston Valley or the wonderful people that live here, Jeff is photographing them. Jeff has been the official photographer for groups such as TSN/Kraft Canada, Columbia Basin Trust, and the Creston Valley Thunder Cats. His ten years of teaching experience at the local high school, combined with his love of photography, qualifies him to instruct this workshop.
