Oh man. I'm so excited! Natalie Santano and I are teaming up and having an epic contest. I'm totally stoked about this. This is not just a contest, it's a lot more than that. We wanted the prize to be awesome because we love our fans/customers and clients but more than that, we wanted to make a difference. We wanted the contest to inspire you. We wanted the contest to be something wonderful and to really move people. We are calling it...
Our contest theme is Gratitude. Why did we choose gratitude? Well, because did you know that being grateful can actually improve people's lives?! Yup. For reals. When we googled "gratitude" we were absolutely amazed at what we found.
Being grateful reminds us of the positive things in our life and let's face it, it's easy to take things for granted. Being grateful reminds us of what's important. It's hard to complain about the weather when we are grateful that we don't live in a place where there are tornadoes and earthquakes. It's hard to complain about our tired/whiny children when we are grateful that they are alive and healthy. It's hard to complain about all the bills we have to pay when we are grateful for the roof over our heads. Being grateful forces us to appreciate all the goodness in our lives that we sometimes forget.
Anyway... enough about gratitude for right now. We'll share lots about that over the next month! You're probably wondering about the prize right? Okay... drum roll please...

Please limit yourself to one photo only and please accompany your photo with a very short blurb on what it is that you're grateful for. Not only do you get to show the whole world how proud/grateful you are, you will also be entered a second time into the contest upping your chance at winning! Remember to have fun with this. Not only is this a chance for you to remember what you are most grateful for in your life, it is also a creativity challenge. Be creative. Get inspired and HAVE FUN with your photo!

It's never too soon to learn about and acknowledge gratitude. Out of curiosity Natalie asked her 3-year old son, Porter, what he was grateful for (first she had to explain what being grateful for meant) and he said thoughtfully that he was grateful for "Mama.... (long pause)...annnnnnnnd.... CAKE!!!" LOL it's so cute to hear what is on the hearts of our little ones.
SO... Natalie and I want to hear from the kids now! Please summit your child's (ages 12 and under) gratitude story (even if its only a couple words or even a sentence) along with your child's age so that we can hear the sweet things kids say! Don't forget, this will also add another chance to win the prize of a $300 shopping spree at Creative Fix AND a FULL out photo session with Natalie Santano.
