Okay, so I missed a few days of the photo challenge. Whoops! We've been soooo busy. Today we travelled to Spokane, Washington to see Manito Park Garden. So incredibly beautiful.

Crazy Clearance Sale!

Okay, so when I completed my Fruit Series and also my Intoxicating Series, I printed off a lot of stock as I planned on really hitting the art/craft/farmer's markets. Unfortunately, life got a hold of me and I went off in 85 different directions and art markets somehow got left in the dust.

But.... tomorrow I will be at the local Farmer's Market with Beyond Wild selling our awesome Zen Gardens. And because I'm already there, I thought, why not have a table of my own stuff? CLEARANCE. I gotta get rid of some of it to make room for my new art (that I'll be starting on in September). Out with the old, in with the new.

I hate the idea of selling these things so darn cheap, but I'm overstocked and I need your help! Come out tomorrow and buy some stuff. Really, it's almost too cheap to be serious. It's kinda like I'm PAYING YOU to take it off my hands.

Grady, the kids and I, made them on Family Night... but, they turned out so wickedly, awesome, that I decided to take the idea and use it for my youth program Beyond Wild. We are always looking for cool fund-raising ideas and this was too cool to pass up. I had the kids make a whopping 30 of them, in all different shades and colors and we'll be at the local Farmer's Market this weekend selling them. The kids totally designed them all by themselves, and even made the rakes. I'm so proud of them. If you can, please join us and support a great cause!

Why not buy an early Christmas gift for a friend? They have meaningful hidden messages under the sand. So cute. Really, you need to buy one. All proceeds will go DIRECTLY into Beyond Wild as this is a program that relies solely on grants, donations and fund-raising.

The Moon

   

While we were driving home from Vernon the other night, the moon was so full and beautiful that I could hardly wait to get home to get a photo of it. Unfortunately, I put my best effort forward but the photo just did not do it justice. The moon had a super cool orange haze around it but I don't know what I'm doing enough with the camera to have captured that. Also, I have a zoom lens but it's so not zoomy enough for something a million miles away. Huh.

And although I will admit that the photo is a little bit sub-par, I'm totally giving myself an "A" for effort because it took me like half an hour just to get this.Photo Challenge Day 14

The Car

    While we were in Vernon for the weekend visiting Grady's family, his dad let us take out the car for a spin... well, on one condition. We had to wash it first. And when I say WE, I mean Grady and the girls. Someone had to stay dry to take photos ;) Once it was clean, we ventured into town to pick up some Starbucks. It was a pretty sweet ride. The girls said they felt like movie stars because everyone smiled at us as we passed. Apparently red, 57 Chevy's, make people smile. Who knew?
